Strategies for energy-efficient flight guidance are derived from the analyses of the energy-optimal trajectories and the investigation of the steady-state flight performance of a battery-electrically powered aircraft. Steady-state analyses are based on specially developed criteria of energy-efficient operation. The particular form of optimal trajectories can be attributed to the Peukert-effect by means of model simplification. A concept for flight phase dependent determination and indication of optimal control parameters in the cockpit is presented, demonstrated and validated.
