This paper analyzes multi crew coordination for a transition VTOL controlled remotely by two pilots. The pilots control the UAS via two independent command and control links. The HMI is dissimilar or equal and only one pilot is in command at a time. The switch to the other pilot can either be initiated by the pilot not in command (passive pilot) or automatically appear due to a link-loss of the command and control link of the pilot in command. No additional hazards shall be introduced by this action. The procedures and indications to guide the pilots are described. A hover mission is defined to test manual and automatic takeovers between the pilots. This mission is tested in simulator experiments to analyze the adequateness of the procedure, the important factors for that coordination and to train the pilots for flight testing.
