A Qualitative Study of Industry 4.0 Use Cases and their Implementation in Electronics Manufacturing

Industry 4.0 is estimated to have an economic potential of 267 billion euros. As a highly dynamic and innovative industry, electronics manufacturing is expected to contribute 23 billion euros. In order to realize this estimated potential, industry 4.0 technologies need to be implemented in concrete use cases providing value to electronics manufacturers. To better understand the current state of industry 4.0 use case adoption, we conduct expert interviews with eight electronics manufacturing companies.
