Abstract:
Research is presented that shows how lightweight concrete structures can be fabricated using different additive manufacturing technologies. Lightweight concretes unite the capabilities of load bearing and thermal insulation in one material. This enables the construction of monolithic building skins without the need for further insulation, resulting in building elements of low complexity, high robustness and good recyclability.
