The study analyzes the German Milk Conflict based on a qualitative research approach on three different levels: (1) changes in the agricultural association structure during the course of the conflict; (2) the decision-making process of farmers concerning participation in the milk delivery strike and exit from the criticized farmer association; and (3) in-depth assessment of the conflict behavior of the major organizations involved. The developed Formal Grounded Theory merges the results in a generalized conflict pattern.     «
