Abstract:
Previous studies identified APOBEC deaminases as enzymes targeting hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA in the nucleus thus affecting its persistence. Interferon (IFN)-? treated chimpanzees and hepatitis C patients showed elevated APOBEC expression.
