- We will assess the relation between subgrid-scale models and numerical truncation error and provide a review of recent developments on physically motivated implicit subgrid-scale models in comparison to explicit and numerically motivated implicit models. We will demonstrate the potential with a range of application examples and provide a perspective on possible future developments.
