Abstract:
Asthma bronchiale und atopisches Ekzem zeigen bei Frauen eine höhere Inzidenz sowie einen höheren Schweregrad.
Untersucht wurde der Einfluss von 17ß-Estradiol, Progesteron und Testosteron auf die zelluläre Interaktion zwischen dendritischen Zellen und T-Zellen von weiblichen, nichtatopischen Spendern in vitro.
Es konnte eine selektive Induktion einer Th1 Immunantwort durch 17ß-Estradiol und eine gesteigerte Th17 Immunantwort nach Stimulation mit 17ß-Estradiol und Testosteron beobachtet werden.

Women show higher incidence and greater severity of asthma and atopic eczema.
This study investigates the effect of 17ß-estradiol, progesterone and testosterone on the cell interaction between dendritic cells and t-cells of female healthy donors in vitro.
In summary 17ß-estradiol promotes a Th1 differentiation. Th17 differentiation is supported by 17ß-estradiol and testosterone.
This may lead to the development of new individual therapeutic strategies.
