Limited feedback communication systems with a multi-antenna base station and single antenna users are analyzed. Downlink capacity bounds with channel knowledge subject to estimation, quantization, feedback errors and outdating are derived for the single user case. For the multiuser case, MMSE beamforming and user selection based on the quantized channel direction of the users is presented, along with a lower bound on the achievable sum rate. Threshold-based feedback is also proposed to aid the user selection.
