- Abstract:
- In dieser Studie wird gezeigt, dass hochauflösende Schnittbilder geeignet sind in der älteren Bevölkerung Patienten mit und ohne osteoporotische Fraktur zu unterscheiden. Am Besten geeignet scheinen hierfür im CT gewonnene Strukturparameter, sowie die BMD der Wirbelsäule. Die im Vergleich dazu im MR gewonnenen Strukturparameter des Calcaneus sind nur bedingt geeignet, osteoporotische Wirbelkörperfrakturen vorherzusagen.
- Translated abstract:
- In this study it is shown that high-resolution slice images are useful to differentiate among the elderly patients with and without osteoporotic fracture. The structure parameters and the BMD of the spine acquired in the CT seem to predict osteoporotic fractures best. In comparison the MR structural parameters of the calcaneus are only conditionally suitable for predicting osteoporotic vertebral fractures.
