Development and Application of Visualisation Techniques for Logistics Systems

Visualisation has become one of the most important techniques with regard to manufacturing and logistics systems. During planning, simulation and operating data have to be presented to different target groups which range from simulation experts, factory planners and operators to representatives of company management. Different kinds of visualisation techniques are used to present the data, from static techniques as charts and layout plans to dynamic techniques as animation and Virtual or Augmented Reality. But often, non-expressive and non-effective visualisations prevent the understanding of information.
