Within the scope of this contribution the challenge of individual requirement specification will be addressed. The customer interaction process is investigated against the background of economic individualization of consumer goods. Existing methods and tools to support the customer interaction processes have been analysed and evaluated to find adequate strategies for the specification of individualised products. A methodology to support the record of individual customer requirements and the necessary integration with following design processes will be derived from existing state of the art methods of design requirement specification and requirements of the individual interaction process. Finally recommendations for an elementary interaction process will be highlighted.
