Abstract:: As part of the cluster of excellence „Cognition for Technical Systems” (CoTeSys), funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), the project “CogMaSh” (Cognitive Machine Shop) develops a cognitive manufacturing environment. In order to realize such a production system, a factory demonstration platform is being designed. The prototype factory will be equipped with sensor networks, as well as with knowledge based systems and plan-based controllers.
