"Bring clarity to complexity!"

That is one of the wishes for our Transformation Finance Lab that was voiced at its first multi-stakeholder breakfast. Over the past year, we have welcomed a new generation of labs here at the TUM Think Tank. Seeing them take shape is one of the most exciting parts of our work. Yesterday, Florian Egli's Transformation Finance Lab brought together experts from the sustainable finance world to explore their pain points and needs. The green transformation - moving towards living within planetary boundaries -requires substantial financial investments to develop and deploy green technologies and practices. Yet, invested capital lags far behind the needs and it remains tough to invest in a truly transformative manner to change systems and lower climate and environmental footprints. So far for complexity. The new lab aims to tackle this challenge head on to bring clarity to these challenges by fostering open dialogue, creating innovative tools, and developing new avenues of research.
