Mithilfe von Transient Transcriptome sequencing (TT-seq) ist es uns erstmals gelungen die Halbwertszeiten von Donor- und Acceptor- Bindungsstellen, sowie deren Syntheseraten, auf der Ebene einzelner Ester-Bindungen zu messen. Eine gründliche Untersuchung der kinetischen Splicing-Parameter zeigte, dass die Halbwertszeit eines Donors durch die Elongation von Pol II limitiert ist. Ferner konnten wir die Interaktionen zwischen den verschiedenen Komponenten des Spliceosomes und der RNA auf molekularer Ebene wiederentdecken.
