Dynamic systems of a size prohibiting the use of classic solving strategies can be evaluated efficiently using model order reduction methods. This is inevitable in applications, where a very fine discretization has to be used, but can also enable to perform complex simulations on devices with limited computational power. We present an app for Android-based devices, which uses model order reduction algorithms so that the response of dynamical systems can be evaluated on the mobile device in a reasonable amount of time. A variety of model order reduction methods exist for first and second order dynamic system. Due to the underlying physical phenomena, we will focus on second order systems. The App uses the finite element method (FEM) and has an interactive graphic interface. The user can specify the desired reduction method and perform the dynamic analysis. After computation, the results are visualized and can also be exported. The app for portable devices can, for example, be used on site to quickly evaluate changes in the built structure or as a tool in teaching to let students experiment with different models.     «
