Abstract:
The present work studies a partitioned approach for the numerical time integration of structures with added damping devices in the context of wind-induced vibrations. The coupled structure-damper interaction problem is partitioned in a structure and a damper part and the interaction between both is treated by a Gauss-Seidel fixed-point iteration scheme.
