This paper can be assigned to traffic oriented assessment of cooperative driver assistance systems. Particularly about the question if the level of detail of the virtual network elements is high enough to analyse the impact of infrastructure based driver assistance systems and transfer this impact to similar parts of other cities. This would dispense the need of a local impact assessment at intersections or road stretches. For this purpose the traffic impact of a traffic light phase assistant, which has been developed within the project UR:BAN1, is determined through microscopic traffic simulation. The impact assessment is carried out on various real signalised intersections of the cities Dusseldorf, Kassel and Brunswick, and their corresponding abstracted signalised intersections. The paper briefly describes the design of the individual virtual elements. It should also be noted that the analysed scenarios for the impact assessment vary by different signal controls, traffic volume and equipment rate of the driver assistant system. The results of the analysis provide a decisive indication for future procedures regarding simulation based analysis, evaluation and extrapolation of the impacts of infrastructure based, cooperative driver assistance systems.     «
