The efficient use of energy in production processes is one of the key challenges the industrial sector faces in the 21st century. So far, worker potential to reduce energy consumption in production are often either underestimated or not taken into account. Therefore, this thesis examines empirically selected measures and approaches from the field of behavioral economics, namely feedback, training and education, goal setting, and social incentives, to incorporate worker potential to increase energy efficiency in production processes.
