Sheetmetalparts of automotive bodies are produced in press lines with several sequentially forming steps. Before the production of the forming tools, the forming of the sheet material is represented virtually with FEM simulation systems, to ensure a partproduction without cracks and wrinkles. Because of the elastic-plastic behaviour of the material, the parts are springing back after forming and don’t have the target geometry anymore. In this thesis the springback-behaviour of test- and repetition parts was predicted an verified for the first forming step and the follow-on operations in the FEM simulation with finite shell elements.
