An increasing number of companies are offering physical, connected products and related services, which create new opportunities by transmitting use phase data. At the same time, new organisational challenges are occurring. The developed process model and supporting methods provide companies with guidance for developing a suitable use phase data strategy in a structured way. The approach enables companies to be more target-oriented when identifying relevant use cases and exploiting use phase data. Three evaluation cases assess the applicability, usability, and usefulness of the approach.
