Abstract:
Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is by far the most frequent malignant tumor in this anatomic region. Today, HNSCC is divided into two morphologically, molecularly and clinically fundamentally different entities: conventional and virus-associated (HPV/EBV) neoplasms.
