Simulations of pedestrian dynamics analyses safety-relevant situations. Current models provide good results while the physical movement of people dominates the scenario. However, social behaviour has been neglected so far. In this interdisciplinary thesis, well accepted social psychological theories are converted into mathematical and algorithmic behaviour models. They retain a manageable parameter space. Thus, these models constitute an important progress towards more reliable simulation of pedestrian dynamics.
