The thesis deals with the systematic evaluation of influencing factors of fire spread-mechanisms in junctions of pre-fabricated timber assemblies. The necessity of evaluation is given by the absence of construction rules and fire test standards for component connections and by the undifferentiated classification of timber constructions into risk classes by insurance companies. The fire protection design of timber assemblies is influenced by consideration of additional fields. Among other things, structural design or building physics (for instance thermal, moisture and acoustical aspects) largely determine the construction of timber components and their interfaces. In connection with the effects of leakage on the fire resistance of component connections special attention has to be placed on the tolerances, which can be accessed only with pre-fabrication methods.
