A lack of transparency, high effort for information handling and laborious assessment methods impede an efficient product portfolio management. A methodology is proposed that utilizes graph transformation to enhance efficiency. The methodology allows for merging decentralized and heterogeneous product data into a graph, and formalizing expert knowledge in order to analyze, assess, and visualize product portfolios. The methodology and software demonstrator were evaluated in two industrial case studies.
