Abstract:
Modern CAD-systems do not support the creative process of conceptual design sufficiently. Because of this, many designers still use hand made sketches that additionally can save abstract, uncertain and fragmentary information, which is closer to the mental model during creative thinking. To merge the advantages of 3D-CAD and paperbased handsketches, a prototype 3D sketching tool using augmented reality technology was developed.
