Abstract:
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a hypervascularized tumor entity with association of arterial vessel density with poor prognosis. The hypoxia-inducible transcription factor HIF-1alpha represents a pivotal regulator of angiogenesis and is thought to determine the angiogenic nature of HCC.
