This bachelor thesis analyses the adjoint sensitivity analysis under the use of the short, of the middle-long and of the long elastic embedded beam. It is examined, which consequences the use of these beam models has on the sensitivities of the elements.
One of the purposes of this work is to investigate the behavior of the beam models in relationship to the length: for this reason the sensitivity analysis is computed on a one side fixed elastic embedded cantilever with variable length. The sensitivities are plotted in diagrams in relationship to the length, so to highlight the correlation between sensitivity and length.
The following purpose is to verify, if the transition-limits for behavior of the elastic embedded beam models are also applicable for the sensitivities. This is achieved through monitoring of the relative deviations at the transition-limits between short and middle-long respectively between middle-long and long elastic embedded beam model.
At the end the sensitivity analysis is computed on a exemplary structure: the sensitivities of the elements are illustrated with the use of sensitivity maps, which allow a efficient and meaningful comparison between the sensitive responses and the model parameters.
