Within this paper the authors want to describe the general concept, the realization as well as lessons learned for the interdisciplinary student seminar of “Crossover Design”. Four institutes of the Technische Universität München, Germany, belonging to the faculties of architecture, mechanical engineering, civil engineering and business, decided to launch this seminar in order to meet the upcoming need for interdisciplinary team work, not only in innovative fields of work. Students should get the possibility to train this special setting during their studies. Furthermore, special items, boundary conditions and possible measures of this special kind of team work should be analyzed. Hence, this paper points out some proposals on how to improve this interdisciplinary seminar for future runs.
