This thesis deals with the incorporation of industrial constraints in node-based shape optimization with the Vertex Morphing surface control method. It introduces an aggregate volume minimization constraint for undercut prevention, an enhanced Vertex Morphing parametrization for reflection symmetry, and a 4D Vertex Morphing formulation for volume-constrained shape optimization. These methods have been implemented within an industrial optimization workflow, and their robustness is demonstrated through optimization of automotive industry applications.
