This work assessed environmental impacts of energy crop cultivation in Bavaria, Germany. For three regions, bioenergy scenarios were evaluated using the sustainability assessment model REPRO. The results were integrated into Life Cycle Assessment of bioenergy, and the environmental impacts were compared to those of bioenergy modelled on the basis of individual crops. Thus, the actual farming system could be shown to have a varying influence on different environmental impacts of increased energy crop cultivation.
