Embedded systems are becoming increasingly important in industrial applications. At the same time technical developments drive complexity. Therefore it is becoming more and more critical to make development success repeatable. The thesis on hand describes the options for improvements of the development of embedded systems. The most important levers are a better understanding of project management and adequate metrics, the development methodology itself and a better Product Lifecycle Management. The optimization potential is analysed and solutions are offered. The analysis is supported by a practical example.      «
