This thesis presents a set of different methods that can be used to record and analyze the effects of the anthropogenic stressors hydropower use and agricultural land use on stream ecosystems. From the obtained results, mitigation and restoration strategies could be derived on how to reduce the fine sediment load through erosion protection measures in the catchment area, how to improve fish protection at hydropower plants and the downstream passage of fish, and how to maintain the functionality of engineered spawning grounds as key habitat for target fish species of conservation concern.
