- Die vorliegende Arbeit umfasst die Konzeptionierung, Implementierung und Evaluierung eines adaptiven Touchscreen-Interfaces im Kraftfahrzeug. Von besonderem Interesse ist hierbei die implizite Erkennung und Nutzung der Annäherung einer Hand an einen in der Mittelkonsole eines Fahrzeugs verbauten Touchscreen. Dieser wurde durch die Anbindung eines Spracherkenners zu einer multimodalen Bedieneinheit erweitert.

- The work presented in this thesis comprises the design, implementation and evaluation of an adaptive in-car touchscreen interface. Special interest is dedicated to the implicit detection of the proximity of a hand to a touchscreen located in the center console of a vehicle. The setup of the user interface was expanded to a multimodal control unit by connecting a speech recognizer.
