Abstract:
Die vorliegende Forschungsarbeit entwickelt auf Basis experimenteller Tests eine Berechnungsmethode zur Lebensdauerbewertung von Strukturbauteilen aus karbonfaserverstärkten SMC-Materialien und setzt diese in einer durchgängigen Simulationskette um. Die Modellansätze berücksichtigen relevante Einflüssgrößen wie Faserorientierung, Belastungen sowie geometrische Kerben. Eine abschließende Validierung der Methode bestätigt deren Anwendbarkeit.

The present doctoral thesis has developed an approach to the lifetime assessment of structural components manufactured from carbon fibre-reinforced sheet moulding compounds on the basis of extensive experimental tests. The developed method was transposed in a consistent simulation chain using commercial software tools. Relevant influencing factors such as fibre orientation, variable loads and geometrical notches were considered in the model approaches. A final validation of the method confirmed its applicability.
