In this work 3D-thermo-tomography model with the superimposed manufacturing and construction data for component evaluation was developed. In addition to the development of automated thermography end effector, the focus was set on the process development of 3D thermography. The industrial feasibility and accuracy of the developed 3D-thermography process were investigated on large aerospace structures. The superimposition of the 3D measurement results with the manufacturing data facilitates the evaluation process and optimizes the manufacturing process. With this developed method, the overall performance of the measurement process could be improved.
