In a prediabetes lifestyle intervention Study (PLIS), I combined GWAS information with metabolomics data. I studied the effects of the COBLL1 locus (SNP rs6712203), on metabolic phenotypes using mass-spectrometry based on untargeted metabolomics. Our results help to understand the altered biochemical pathways when a disruption occurs due of actin filament formation disturbance. The results provide a solid base for future investigations in understanding the biochemical pathways involved in the T2D scenario.
