The present thesis presents the development and evaluation of an optical non-contact imaging measurement system for quality control of viscous materials based on fluorescence. The measurement system is used in the laboratory and for monitoring of manufacturing processes. The application area is focused on lubricants, particularly on greases. The elaborated data analysis enables an automated determination of the homogeneity, the mixture ratio, and the existence of impurities within examined greases.
