- Abstract:
- This thesis presents the development of a flexible and extensible open source aircraft design environment implemented in MATLAB. Its key components comprise a novel object-oriented data model specifically developed for application in conceptual and early preliminary design of both, conventional and unconventional aircraft. Furthermore, a repository containing standalone software providing an API and newly programmed tools as well as a concept for tool integration and utilization are introduced.

- Die vorliegende Arbeit beschreibt die Entwicklung einer flexiblen und erweiterbaren Open Source Flugzeugentwurfsumgebung in MATLAB. Die Kernbestandteile umfassen ein innovatives objektorientiertes Datenmodell, speziell zugeschnitten auf das Conceptual Design sowie auf Teile des Preliminary Design von konventionellen und unkonventionellen Flugzeugkonfigurationen. Weiterhin beinhaltet sie eine Sammlung existierender und neuer Programme, sowie ein zugehöriges Konzept für deren gemeinsame Anwendung.
