In this thesis, methods are developed which allow the modeling of coupled effects in microsystems on continuous-field level as well as on system level. The investigations have been focussed on the electromechanical coupling and the fluid-structure interaction with an emphasis on viscous damping effects in dynamically operated microdevices and -systems. For typical demonstrators methods and approaches are derived to reduce the model complexity according to the given prerequisites in order to model the coupled effects in a physically-based, but yet accurate manner while reducing the computational effort to an appropriate extent.
