Das Monoterpen Thujon ist ein Naturstoff, der in einer Vielzahl von Kräuter und Gewürzpflanzen enthalten ist. In dieser Arbeit wird die isotopenmarkierte und unmarkierte Totalsynthese von a-Thujon und seiner drei postulierten, hydroxylierten Hauptmetaboliten gezeigt. Mit den synthetisierten Standards wurde eine Stabilisotopenverdünnungsanalyse für die Urinanalytik entwickelt und in einer ersten Humanstudie der Metabolismus von a-Thujon untersucht. Nach Konsum von Salbeitee konnten in 7 Probanden als Hauptmetabolite 4- und 7-Hydroxythujon neben Spuren von Thujon im Urin nachgewiesen werden.     «

The monoterpene thujone is a nature product, which is produced in a great variety of herbal plants. A total synthesis of a-thujone and the three postulated metabolites is shown in isotopically labelled and unlabelled fashion. A stable isotope dilution assay for urine analytics was developed with the use of the synthesized standards. The results of a primary human study of the metabolism of a-thujone are presented. After the consumption of a sage infusion by seven test persons 4- and 7-hydroxthujone and traces of thujone were detected.     «
