The present dissertation examines textiles and other organic materials of clothing and belts, personal equipment and grave furnishings, as padding and filling materials, underlays and scatters from male graves from the early medieval linear cemetery at Petting (county of Traunstein), Upper Bavaria. 534 objects with inter alia 790 textile fragments from 55 male graves are evaluated. 1,700 samples are investigated by scanning electron microscope and transmitted light microscope. Depending on the amount and the potential of the investigation results the single burials can be reconstructed. The results of the single graves are merged and evaluated.
