New primary archival material related to the merchants Venino at Würzburg has been found. The company´s correspondence with the main focus around the 1800s includes price lists, hand-written orders, custom tickets and bills, which completely outline type and prices of historical artists´ materials. Besides, the documents do not only reveal deliveries from the Veninos to famous final consumers (such as the Würzburg Residence, the Ebrach Monastery and the Werneck and Veitshöchheim Castles) but also prove links to other merchants. The archival material gives detailed information about the Venino’s trading network, and the professions involved in trading. The documents allow to draw conclusions about the application of the materials by practising artists.
