Abstract:

Translated abstract:
With the target to increase the capacity of forming processes in the dimensions of complexity, surface finish, dimensional accuracy and net-shape properties of the manufactured component, several high-velocity forming processes have been developed focusing mainly on sheet metal forming. This thesis investigates the impact of tool velocity on the workability in bulk forming and uses the tool velocity to exemplarily prove on two steel materials that the forming limits can be increased significantly.
