Translated abstract:
This doctoral thesis deals with estimating a 3-phase hybrid stepping motor's rotor shaft angle at low speeds and standstill by injecting an additional high frequency carrier voltage. The resulting motor currents are modulated by spatial inductance variations. This enables the rotor shaft angle to be calculated from the measured current signals using demodulation methods. The resulting errors of the estimation are theoretically and experimentally analyzed and countermeasures are proposed. Finally, the opportunities and limits of the proposed estimation method for sensorless speed and position control applications are investigated.
