Translated abstract:
On the basis of a requirements analysis this dissertation contributes to the development of the theoretical foundation of rapid-prototyping tools for multimodal user interfaces in the automotive environment. The basic principles of the dialog-specification are a context-free and therefore generically applicable modeling of the modalities as well as a formal representation of the man-machine dialog. Thereon measures are described, which can be deployed during the specification process and have the capability to ensure a high usability while driving. Furthermore a heuristics for the execution of the dialog-specification is described. Based on the thereby built reference implementation a usability study has been conducted. The results show a high suitability of the proposed concepts and a very well comprehensibility for user-interface developers.
