Translated abstract:
Multimodal Human Machine Interaction is intended to improve the usage of software by free adoption of communication channels like speech and gesture. This dissertation first examines single modalities to draw up the properties of a multimodal System. Due to the principles of usability engineering a prototype is constructed in the next step with the objective of performing user tests. This system is integrated into a driving simulator to provide the operation of components like car radio, navigation device or cellular phone and is built up in several iterations with continuous tests and improvements. The results of this work are user adequate design and practical experience with the new technologies.
