Kurzfassung:
The objective of this work is to approach the modeling of the fuel assembly bow deformation in pressurized water reactors from the novel point of view of sensitivity and uncertainty analyses. To perform these analyses, a structural model of a fuel assembly row is coupled to a coolant flow model in order to simulate the fuel assembly deformations during irradiation based on different material models. The analyses demonstrate that the uncertainties about the creep rate and the flow conditions have a particularly crucial impact on the final bow pattern at the end of cycle.
