Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning is an
inventory management method, which can be used in variable
environments. Several research papers have shown that it is able
to outperform other methods like MRP. In order to perform well
it is necessary to set several parameters and currently no
algorithm or specific rules exist, which can set the parameters
optimally. This Thesis aims to fix this problem by proposing a
way in which one can train an artificial intelligence to set such
parameters. The artificial intelligence presented in this Thesis
performs well in short term environments, however for longterm
environments one has to apply some changes to the
proposed approach, which are discussed after the evaluation of
the results.
