Abstract:
Purpose: Spatially Fractionated Radiation Therapy (SFRT) is characterized by large differences in peak and valley doses. Preclinical and clinical studies suggest that differences in biological mechanisms lead to differential normal tissue and tumor response compared to uniform irradiation.
